What good would do to say the sun makes you shine brighter than itself
That compared to fabled creatures you’re more magical than an elf
What’s the point do to say your mind has more thoughts than there are fish in a sea
Even though I speak the truth when I state, you smell better than a blooming tree
Will you like it if I shower you with lyrics that speak of beauty and nobility
Do things change if I am to swear I will bring you peace and serenity
Will your eyes see me differently if I promise to comfort and be understanding
Do I impress in the least saying rhymes of love that is to the eyes blinding
I will not bother to gain trust by preaching of love unproven in deeds
Nor will I bore you by confessing that in your absences my heart bleeds
Words are no m ore than that, they’re no valid or sturdy method of persuasion
They’re for cunning minds, tools for cheating, mind tricks and evasion
There’s no need to celebrate if your eyes are keen and your tongue can twist
Blind promises and empty vows are as ephemeral as the morning mist
Forever shall I present myself and not where a mask of lies over my face
Acting on one’s words and beliefs will never make them fall from grace
