Scuze, asta e special pentru cunoscatorii de limba engleza avansat. Dar trebuie sa intelegeti ca e un citat ce greu poate fi tradus si adus la adevaratul lui inteles… Asa ca, de data aceasta, nu o voi mai traduce, dar promit ca data viitoare voi posta un citat ce apartine unui roman!

Am dat astazi peste o intrebare absolut superba, care ar trebui sa ne puna putin pe ganduri… macar pe aceia dintre noi care au ajuns la un nivel de maturitate timpurie.

Satchel Paige intreba: “How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?” (traducere: Cati ani ai avea daca nu ai stii cati ani ai?)

Recunosc, in romana nu suna chiar atat de frumos, dar sensul si ideea raman. E un fel de rescriere a zicalei: “You’re as old as you feel.” (traducere: Ai varsta pe care simti ca o ai.) Are de-a face cu felul in care te percepi pe tine insuti/insati, de varsta psihologica. Sa facem un exercitiu. Daca ai continua sa iti traiesti viata care o ai acum dar dintr-o data te-ar trazni o amnezie ce se rezuma strict la varsta ta, si nu ai putea sa o afli din diverse documente sau de la diverse cunostinte, cati ani ti-ai da? Mai putin? Mai mult?

Va las sa va ganditi, si poate imi spuneti si mie!
